Float therapy (or sensory deprivation) involves floating in a private tank filled with warm water and over 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt. It’s designed to help you deeply relax by reducing sensory input—no lights, no noise, no distractions.
Sensory deprivation began as an experiment of consciousness during the 1960’s with neuroscientist, John C. Lily. As Lily began to perfect temperature and gravity levels, he found the experience to be deeply expansive and meditative. He shared his findings with world renowned psychologists such as Ram Dass & Timothy Leary. This deeply pushed the expeditions of the counterculture during the 60s & 70s in regards to internal expansion and spirituality.
As history progresses, scientific research has been able to uncover the benefits of float therapy:
Reduces stress and anxiety
Eases muscle tension and joint pain
Enhances sleep and mental clarity
Supports nervous system regulation
Boosts creativity and focus

The water in our float tanks are heated to match the surface temperature of your skin—about 95 degrees Fahrenheit. This creates a sensation where the boundary between your body and the water begins to blur, allowing your nervous system to fully relax without needing to regulate body temperature. It’s designed to feel neutral and deeply soothing.

We recommend floating nude for the most comfortable and distraction-free experience. Each float room is completely private, with its own shower and changing area, so you can fully relax.
If you feel more comfortable wearing a swimsuit, you're absolutely welcome to. Just keep in mind that fabric can sometimes create subtle sensations or pressure points that may take you out of the experience.
If you do choose to wear a swimsuit, we kindly ask that you take your first shower without it — this helps ensure that no soap or detergent residue enters the float water.
Ultimately, it’s your choice. We want you to feel safe, supported, and at ease — whatever helps you relax most deeply is the right choice for you.

Yes, absolutely—with a few considerations. Floating can be incredibly supportive during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters. The zero-gravity environment relieves pressure on joints, hips, and the lower back while offering a sense of weightlessness that’s hard to find anywhere else.
That said, we always recommend checking with your healthcare provider before your first float—just to ensure it’s the right fit for your unique pregnancy needs. Many expectant parents find floating to be one of the most comfortable and restorative parts of their prenatal care routine.
-
We provide nearly everything—towels, earplugs, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
That said, we suggest bringing any personal toiletries or skincare products you love to use post-float. It's always nice to make Saha feel more like home.
-
Yes, your hair will get wet. We do have swim caps available, but because our float tanks are filled with still water (not moving like a pool), the caps can often trap water and cause even more soaking.
If you’re concerned about your hair, we recommend planning accordingly.
We also ask that all guests shower before their float to remove any oils, lotions, or hair products—this helps keep our float water as clean and long-lasting as possible. -
Most clients are surprised at how spacious the float tank feels. You’re always in control—you can leave the door open, adjust the light, or exit at any time. If you are particularly nervous, we recommend trying rooms 1 or 2! They are 8 foot circular tubs which are twice the size of a traditional tank; this offers even more space to stretch out.
If you’re ever in the area, you’re always welcome to stop by and chat with staff. We would love to show you a room if one if available.
-
That’s totally normal—and safe. The high salt content keeps you effortlessly buoyant, even if you drift off.
-
You’ll feel the benefits after one session, but like many wellness practices, consistency amplifies results.
Many members float weekly or biweekly to support ongoing stress relief, mental clarity, and body recovery. We offer amazing membership discounts and benefits for sharing this wonderful practice with us.

Floating allows your body and mind to fully relax by removing the usual input from your senses — no pressure on your joints, no noise, no light, no demands. When you float in our warm, mineral-rich water, your nervous system shifts into a deeply restorative state known as the parasympathetic response (or "rest and digest" mode).
Here’s what that does for you:
Relieves stress by lowering cortisol levels and calming the mind
Reduces physical tension in muscles and joints
Supports better sleep and helps reset circadian rhythms
Improves focus and mental clarity by giving your brain space to reset
Enhances mood by boosting dopamine and endorphin levels
Promotes faster recovery after workouts or injury
Over time, regular floating can help regulate your nervous system, improve resilience to stress, and support a greater sense of balance in daily life.
It’s not just relaxation—it’s a full-body recalibration.

Infrared saunas use light to heat your body directly, rather than heating the air. The result is a gentler, deeper detox that works at lower temperatures—perfect for those sensitive to traditional dry saunas.
What are the benefits of infrared sauna?
Detoxifies the body
Boosts circulation
Reduces inflammation and pain
Improves skin clarity
Supports recovery and immune function
Enhances mood and relaxation
-
We provide a sauna wrap and robe for your comfort, and you'll be in a completely private room. Many guests choose to sauna nude or wear lightweight workout clothes — whatever helps you feel most at ease.
If you're scheduled to float after your sauna, we recommend changing into the provided wrap or robe to support a smooth and relaxing transition between services.
Please note: If you plan to wear a swimsuit in the float, we kindly ask that you do not wear it during your sauna session. This helps prevent sweat and heat-activated detergent residues from entering the float water and affecting its quality.
Thank you for helping us keep our water pristine and your experience exceptional.
-
Standard sessions are 30 minutes, but experienced sauna goers sometimes will book two sessions back to back for a full 60 minute session.
-
Yes—and that’s a good thing. Infrared heat promotes deep detoxification. Be sure to hydrate well before and after your session - a water cooler is provided in the sauna space for your use.
-
Infrared saunas are safe for most guests. If you have a medical condition, please check with your healthcare provider first. Saunas are not recommended for those who are pregnant.
-
Our infrared sauna is fully customizable, but many guests find that setting it around 150°F offers the best experience.
At this temperature, your body receives the benefits of deep detoxification, muscle recovery, and relaxation — without the overwhelming intensity of traditional dry saunas.
Unlike conventional heat, infrared therapy uses light to gently warm the body from within, making the experience more comfortable and accessible.
You’re welcome to adjust the settings to meet yourself exactly where you are on your wellness journey.
-
If you’re not scheduled to float after your sauna, shower access depends on the availability of our float suites. You're always welcome to ask your attendant — and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Please note: if all float rooms are in use, a shower may not be available at that time. We appreciate your understanding and recommend planning accordingly if showering is an essential part of your post-sauna routine.

The order of your services can make a big difference in how your body responds and how deeply you relax. Here’s what we recommend:
• Sauna → Float
Start with the sauna to warm up your body, release tension, and clear your mind. This enhances the benefits of your float session by helping you drop into relaxation more easily.• Sauna → Float → Facial
If you’re planning to enjoy all three, we suggest this flow to ensure the results of your facial last longer. Ending with skincare keeps those nourishing products on your skin instead of sweating them off!• Including a Massage?
If you're booking a massage with Vanessa at AuthenticBodywork.com, we recommend scheduling your massage first, then your Saha services. This allows us to guide you in customizing the rest of your visit based on your body’s needs and desired results. Just give us a call — we’re happy to help plan your ideal sequence! -
Absolutely! We suggest floating before your facial. The float session deeply relaxes your nervous system and muscles — which allows you to be even more receptive to skincare and touch.
Plus, your facial products will stay on longer without the moisture of the float afterward.
-
Yes, and it’s actually a wonderful pairing. Floating after a massage allows your body to continue releasing tension without external pressure or stimulation. You’ll leave feeling completely reset — physically and mentally.
-
Don’t worry — we’re here to help! Whether you’re doing a full reset day or pairing a couple of services, feel free to call us, and we’ll walk you through the ideal timing and flow based on your goals for the day.
-
It depends on your needs:
Choose a float if you need mental stillness, deep rest, or relief from overwhelm.
Choose a sauna if you’re feeling sluggish, achy, or want a circulatory and detox boost.
Choose a facial if you’re craving nurture, skincare support, or grounding human touch.
No wrong choice — each service supports your well-being in a different way.
